Brothers in court over Chubbards Cross fatal shooting

Three brothers accused of shooting a man at a caravan site in Somerset have appeared in court charged with murder.

Wilfred Isaacs, 50, was shot dead at Chubbards Cross, Ilton, on Thursday. A man in his 20s was injured.

Charlie and William 'Billy' Broadway, aged 23 and 18, appeared at Bristol Crown Court and were remanded until 10 June. A trial date was set for October.

John Broadway, 37, appeared before Bristol magistrates and was remanded to appear at crown court at a later date.

The brothers, from Ilton, are charged with murdering Wilfred Isaacs Senior and the attempted murder of his son, Wilfred Isaacs Junior.

Charlie and William face an additional charge of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Bonnie Broadway, 29, also from Ilton, appeared at crown court charged with assisting an offender and was remanded until 10 June.

Three other women, two aged 36 and one 26, were earlier released on bail pending further enquiries.
