Emergency services in Somerset are to be relocated to avoid major roadworks near their base in Yeovil.

One lane at Reckleford Road, at the town's ambulance and fire station, is being close from Wednesday for six weeks.

To ensure continued rapid response, staff, ambulances, a fire engine and an emergency response car will be moved to AgustaWestland's Lysander Road site.

Members of the public are being warned to be aware of emergency vehicles using routes close to the Finmeccanica site.
