Light plane pilot in hospital after Somerset farm crash
A pilot is being treated in hospital after his light aircraft crashed on farmland near Glastonbury in Somerset.
Emergency crews were called at about 16:30 BST after the two-seater plane came down at Brook Farm in Godney.
There was no-one else aboard the plane, which brought down power lines in the area, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said.
The pilot, who suffered minor injuries, was taken by air ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
A fire service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews confirmed this was a two-seater light aircraft which had crashed into a field and brought down surrounding power lines.
"The single male pilot was out of the aircraft being assessed by paramedics."
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the pilot had been left "dazed and confused" by the crash but had escaped major injury.
