Properties left without power in Wellington

More than 400 homes and businesses in a Somerset town were left without power after a vehicle struck power lines.

Emergency services attended the scene at Tonedale industrial estate in Wellington shortly after 12:00 GMT.

A 40 year-old-man, believed to be the driver, was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with "electrical injuries".

Engineers from Western Power Distribution had reconnected most of the properties within two hours.
