Martock Waste Paper recycling firm sold for £7.4m

Family-run Somerset recycling company Martock Waste Paper has been bought for £7.4m.

Water firm Pennon said its Viridor Waste Management subsidiary had bought Martock from the Bowers family who founded it in 1976.

The firm, based in Martock, currently handles around 50,000 tonnes of paper and other recycled material a year.

It opened a new premises in January 2000, when it expanded, to provide more efficient waste handling operations.
