Somerset driver dies as car hits wall and lands on roof


A 26-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a stone wall in Somerset.

Police said the Renault mounted the kerb on a left-hand bend, crashed into the wall and ended up on its roof.

The car was being driven towards Chard when the incident happened on the A358 Axminster Road, in Tatworth, just after 1830 GMT on Sunday.

The driver, who was from East Somerset, was declared dead at the scene and the road was closed for nearly ten hours.
