A sixth form student was taken to hospital after she fell from a balcony at a Somerset college.
The ambulance service was called to West Somerset Community College, in Minehead, at 1317 GMT on Thursday.
A college spokeswoman said the teenager had fallen about 4ft on to a flat roof and that an internal investigation was taking place.
She said the girl was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital where she was "thoroughly checked and discharged".
The spokeswoman said: "The situation was treated seriously as all potential injuries are and an ambulance was called.
"She left the site at two o'clock and was back home talking to the principal on the phone by eight o'clock.
"There is no investigation from any external body. We are making our own investigation to confirm the details of what happened and we will take any action that comes out of that."
