Shrewsbury stabbing: Arrests made as boy remains critical

Three people have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed in a Shrewsbury street, leaving him in a critical condition.

The 16-year-old boy was found in Wayford Close in Meole Brace at about 21:45 BST on Monday.

West Mercia Police said it was "thought to be a targeted attack" and it had no reason to believe there was any wider threat to the community.

The arrests were made at about 00:10 BST on Wednesday.

Police have not said what the three people have been arrested on suspicion of.
