Flood barriers remain in place in Shrewsbury as water levels on the River Severn continue to rise.

Levels on rivers in Shropshire, including the Vyrnwy and Teme, are rising due to large amounts of rainfall in Wales, the Environment Agency has said.

Earlier flood warnings on the Vyrnwy, which is expected to peak this morning, have been removed.

Alerts remain on the Severn and the Vyrnwy.
