Hodnet family's heartbreak as burglars steal dog
Burglars who broke into a house took jewellery, electrical goods - and the family dog, said police.
The four-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Kaiser, was stolen from a home in Hodnet, Market Drayton.
He was asleep in the utility room when thieves broke in overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
His owners, who have had Kaiser since he was a puppy, are "heartbroken". Police are appealing for anyone who knows where Kaiser is to contact them.
Kaiser, was wearing a large leather collar which has the owner's contact details on and is microchipped.
Det Con Helen Bailey, of West Mercia Police, said: "The owners are understandably heartbroken that Kaiser has been taken from them.
"I would urge anyone who knows anything about Kaiser's whereabouts to please contact us. Alternatively, if you see a dog matching his description in suspicious circumstances please also get in touch."
