Plans for 600 homes on former Celestica site recommended for approval

Plans to build 600 new houses on a former factory site in Shropshire have been recommended for approval, despite objections from local residents.

Castle Farm Ltd have submitted plans to Telford and Wrekin Council for the former Celestica site in Telford.

The homes would be built next to the proposed 900-pupil Priorslee faith academy school, the company said.

The council said it had received objections about more traffic and the lack of affordable homes being offered.

A decision will made on the plans by the council on Wednesday.
