Two charged over Whitchurch armed robbery

Two men have been charged in connection with an armed raid at a vending machine firm in which a man was tied up.

Up to five men forced their way into Cherwells on the Waymills Industrial Estate in Whitchurch, Shropshire, on Thursday morning, police said.

An employee was tied up and the gang escaped with what officers said was a "significant" number of cigarettes.

West Mercia Police said two men from Liverpool had been charged with robbery.
