Brockton Court Bridge closed for repair work

A bridge near Telford is to be closed to allow work to be carried out to make it safe "in the long term".

Brockton Court Bridge will be closed for a fortnight from Monday 24 June, Shropshire Council said.

The work will repair scour damage below the bridge and the parapet.

Claire Wild, from the authority, said: "This is essential work which needs to be carried out to enable the bridge to continue to function safely in the long term."

Traffic will be diverted using the A442 and the B4379 but pedestrians, cyclists and horses will still be able to use it.
