Four people have been charged with perverting the course of justice after the death of a man on a canal footpath.

Guy Benson Bebbington, known as Ben, was found with head injuries on a towpath in Shrewsbury on 7 September and died in hospital.

Two men have already been charged with his murder.

Two women, aged 47 and 24, a 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl are accused of concealing evidence and lying to officers.

All four have been released on police bail to appear before Shrewsbury Magistrates' Court at a date to be set in January.

Stewart Kevin Doran, 21, of Bainbridge Green, Harlescott, pleaded guilty to Mr Benson's murder at Birmingham Crown Court earlier this month.

Bradley Davies, 18, of no fixed abode, is also charged with his murder, has not entered a plea and is due to reappear at the court on 15 February.
