Shropshire child prostitution brothel case is dismissed

The case of a man accused of using premises in Shropshire as a brothel for child prostitution has been dismissed.

Abdul Rouf, 36, from Kingsland in Arleston appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday.

He was due to face trial on allegations that he allowed premises in Arleston to be used as a brothel between January 2008 and December 2009.

The prosecution offered no evidence against him and said a trial was no longer in the public interest.

Judge Michael Challinor ordered that the charge against Mr Rouf should lie on the file.
