New £13m health centre opens in Shrewsbury

A new £13m health centre serving about 15,000 patients has opened in Shropshire.

The Severn Fields Health Village in Sundorne Road, Shrewsbury, includes two GP practices, clinics and a pharmacy.

The NHS will pay the rent on the building which is owned by developer Matrix Medical.

The site serves patients from the former Albert Road surgery, now Haughmond View Medical Practice, and Mount Pleasant Medical Centre.
