Ski-slope shed fire death suspect released on bail

A man arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a teenager who died in a fire at a Shropshire ski centre almost 20 years ago has been bailed.

Liam Wright, age 19, from Telford, died in a shed fire at the Madeley Ski Slope in Telford on 10 September, 1990.

An open verdict was recorded at his inquest.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said a recent review of the case resulted in fresh information coming to their attention.

The arrested man was in his 30s.
