A man who was stabbed to death during a brawl has been named by police.

Darren Maccormick, 44, from Didcot, died in hospital following the altercation in Mendip Heights in the town in the early hours of Thursday.

Two other men were taken to hospital but have been discharged.

Three teenagers accused of Mr Maccormick's murder and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court earlier.

Taison Cyrille, 18, of Market End Way in Bicester, Isaac Boyland, 19, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, and Brookton Lagan, 18, of Robin Way, Didcot, will appear at Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday.

Mr Maccormick's family paid tribute to the father of three, whom they said was "a loving, caring son and father".

"Our dad was taken away from us way too soon," his children said in a statement.

"[We have] never known someone who loved his kids so much. We miss you so much Dad, and the three of us will do you so proud. Love you millions."
