Cyclist dies in hospital after Southampton crash

The accident happened in Brownhill Way at just after midnight

A cyclist has died in hospital after an accident involving a car in Southampton.

The 32-year-old was seriously injured in a collision with a black Ford Focus in Brownhill Way earlier at just after midnight.

Hampshire Constabulary said he was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he later died.

A 26-year-old man from the New Forest has been arrested.
