Boy, 4, dies after being hit by car in Thame

A four-year-old boy has died after being knocked down by a car in Oxfordshire.

He was struck by the vehicle outside the sports centre on Oxford Road, Thame, shortly before 10:30 GMT.

The driver stopped at the scene and emergency services were called but the boy died on his way to hospital.

Thames Valley Police said specially trained family liaison officers are supporting his next of kin and appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
