A man has been charged with murdering a woman who was stabbed to death in a Berkshire village.
Michael Rough, 55, of Ellis Road, Crowthorne, is charged with killing Jacqueline Pattenden, 53, on 2 October.
A post-mortem found Ms Pattenden, who was described as an "amazing mother", died at a house in Ellis Road after being stabbed in the chest.
Mr Rough, who received treatment in hospital after being arrested, will appear at Reading Magistrate's Court.
Ms Pattenden worked as a psychiatrist's assistant for the former clinical director of Broadmoor Hospital, who was in charge of giving treatment to the Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe.
