Man dies after being hit by train at Bicester North

A man has died after being hit by a train near Bicester North station, police have confirmed.

British Transport Police was called at 08:20 BST to a report that a person had been hit by a train about half a mile south of the station.

A man's body was found at the scene and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Rail lines have now reopened but Bicester North station remains closed until further notice.

Chiltern Railways had warned passengers of delays of up to an hour until about 11:00.

Tickets can be used on Virgin Trains, London Midland, Great Western Railways and Cross Country.
