Long Hanborough Co-op raid gang 'stole two drinks'
A gang of would-be raiders who tried to steal a supermarket cash point made off with just two drinks, police have said.
At least two men attempted to make off with the ATM from the shop in Long Hanborough, Oxfordshire, at about 03:00 BST.
After failing to release the machine with tools, police said, the men set fire to a Land Rover Defender in which they had driven to the shop.
They then left in two other vehicles, Thames Valley Police said.
The raid is the second on a Co-op store cash machine in less than a week.
On 20 August, masked men made an "audacious" ram raid on a cash machine in the store in Milton-under-Wychwood.
Thames Valley Police are not linking the two incidents at present.
