Oxford driver dies after crashing into parked cars

An elderly man has died in hospital after his car crashed into several parked vehicles when he lost control in an Oxford road.

The victim suffered serious injuries in the crash, in Alexandra Road on Saturday, and died hours later.

Emergency crews were called to deal with the accident at about 11:45 BST, Thames Valley Police said.

The man, whose next of kin have was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he died.

A police spokesman said: "Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.

"We continue to investigate the cause of this road traffic collision."
