A number of homes in Oxford were evacuated after an unexploded World War Two bomb was discovered in a back garden.

Thames Valley Police said it was found at a house in the Mill Street area off the Botley Road.

A 50m safety cordon and road closures were put in place, with motorists and members of the public being advised to avoid the area.

The force said bomb disposal experts made the area safe.
