Boy, 17, killed in M40 crash in Oxfordshire

A teenager driver was killed when his car careered off a motorway and plunged down an embankment in Oxfordshire.

The 17-year-old, from Maidenhead, Berkshire, was pronounced dead at the scene after his Vauxhall Corsa crashed into a field.

Police said the vehicle came off the M40 between junction six and seven at about 19:30 BST on Monday.

Officers want to hear from witnesses, particularly the driver of a Jaguar who was seen near the crash site.
