Bicester police raid death referred to watchdog

The death of a man following a police raid on a house in Oxfordshire has been referred to the police watchdog.

The man, aged in his 60s, died after being taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford following the raid in Bicester on Tuesday morning.

Thames Valley Police said officers "became concerned for a man's welfare" before entering the property.

The force said the matter had been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
