Rape charge dropped against Oxfordshire man

A 22-year-old man accused of raping a teenage girl in an Oxfordshire town last year has had the charge against him dropped.

The 15-year-old girl reported that she was attacked while walking in Shilton Park in Carterton after a night out on 21 September.

Perry Griffith, of Newland, Witney, had faced one count of rape.

He had been due to stand trial at Oxford Crown Court this week, but the case was discontinued on 29 May.
