Woman sexually assaulted in Oxford alleyway

A woman has been sexually assaulted in an Oxford alleyway.

Thames Valley Police said the victim was walking along Cowley Road at 21:00 BST on Monday, when she was grabbed around the waist from behind.

The 20-year-old was then pulled to an alleyway opposite Marsh Road by a man. She was sexually assaulted before she was able to escape.

The offender is described as black with short, possibly shaved, hair. He is about 5ft 5ins tall and of slim build.

He is aged in his 20s to 30s, and was wearing white shoes, one single black leather glove and a dark long-sleeved shirt.

The force is appealing for witnesses. Details of the attack have only just been released by police.
