A 20-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a teenager who died following a stabbing in Oxford.

Connor Tremble, 17, was injured in Fairacres Road on Thursday evening. He died in hospital on Saturday after his life support machine was switched off.

Post-mortem tests have failed to establish the cause of his death.

William Blencowe, of Oxford Road in Banbury, is due to enter a plea at Oxford Crown Court on 30 May.

He appeared earlier at Reading Crown Court via a videolink.

Floral tributes have been left outside the teenager's home.

His mother Lisa said her son's death had "ripped my heart into pieces".

A 21-year-old man from Birmingham, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released without charge.
