Oxford murder investigation after Connor Tremble dies

A 17-year-old boy has died in hospital following a stabbing, sparking a murder investigation.

Connor Tremble died from his injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford on Saturday after a decision was made to switch off his life support.

The teenager was stabbed in Fairacres Road in the city at about 18:45 GMT on Thursday.

A 20-year-old man from Stratford-upon-Avon has been arrested and remains in custody.

A 21-year-old man from Birmingham, who was arrested on Friday on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the stabbing, also remains in police custody.

Officers investigating the teenager's death say it is "not believed to be a random attack".
