A children's swimming pool in Oxfordshire has reopened after year-long repairs costing £120,000.

The Play 'n' Teach pool at Bicester Leisure Centre was closed in December 2012 because of "sudden unexplained cracking" of the pool base tiles.

The repair works funded by Cherwell District Council included replacing the concrete base and retiling the entire pool.

A council spokesman said the closure had been "incredibly frustrating".
