The body of a woman in her 70s has been found following a search at a house that was partially destroyed by fire in Oxfordshire.

The blaze at the property on Green Lane, in Woodstock, started at about 01:15 GMT.

Firefighters were unable to search the whole building before part of it collapsed.

They carried out a search of the debris as it was thought a woman was inside at the time of the fire.

Police officers were also called to the blaze but are not treating it as suspicious.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said the woman's next of kin had been informed.
