Body of man pulled from Oxford Canal at Cropredy

The body of a man has been found in a canal in Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police confirmed it received reports a body was spotted in the Oxford Canal just before 17:30 BST. Fire and rescue crews also attended.

He was pronounced dead at the scene after his body was recovered from the water around 18:00 at Slat Mill Bridge at Cropredy near Banbury.

The man's death is being treated as unexplained, but police do not believe it to be suspicious at this time.
