Man stabbed following funeral in Oxford

A man was stabbed after a funeral in Oxford.

Thames Valley Police investigated a disturbance after the service at Greyfriars Church, in Iffley Road, at 11:20 GMT.

A spokesman said: "Police have received reports that a man has suffered what are believed to be knife-related injuries."

He later described the injury as "superficial". Officers were required at the scene to calm tensions.

Brother Thomas More described the service for Winnie Joyce at the 200-capacity church as "noisy" and "packed".
