An 18-year-old man has appeared in court accused of murdering a man who was stabbed to death in Oxford.

Haydan O'Callaghan, of Saunders Road, Oxford, is charged with the murder of 29-year-old Aaron Buron, who died on Saturday in Rose Hill.

Mr O'Callaghan is also charged with assaulting an 18-year-old woman on the same evening.

He was remanded in custody by Oxford Magistrates' Court to reappear before the city's crown court on Wednesday.

In a statement Mr Buron's family paid tribute to him saying: "You will never know how much we love and miss you.

"Aaron, you could walk into a room and light it up with your smile and presence," they said.
