Wytham Woods used to model rainforests

A wood in Oxfordshire is providing researchers with vital information to help them monitor rainforest deforestation.

A three-week project in Wytham Woods is calculating the amount of carbon in the forest using a new digital input system.

It is hoped the improved method will be used in the Congo and Amazon to stop the rainforests being destroyed.
