BBC Introducing in Oxford stage at Truck Festival line up

BBC Introducing in Oxford will showcase some of the best local acts both new and old on a special stage at this year's Truck Festival.

Dive Dive, The Rock of Travolta and Dead Jerichos are amongst the 11 bands that will take to the stage on Friday 22 July in the tent.

Other acts include Spring Offensive, Gunning for Tamar and Listing Ships.

Also on the bill is dB Band, fronted by former Supergrass bassist Mick Quinn.

The Rock of Travolta's Jon Carter said: "We're fantastically excited to be able to play at Truck this year and especially with BBC Introducing in Oxford.

"We love playing at Truck and this makes a perfect way for us to celebrate 10 years of the band.

"I can't believe it's that long since our headline show back in 2001 and we're looking forward to another very special show."

Craig Evans, singer and guitarist with Dead Jerichos, said: 'It's grand that we've been asked to play our favourite festival again this year.

"See you Mother Trucks there!"

Truck Festival takes place at Hill Farm, Steventon from 22 to 24 July.

It began in 1998 and is now in its 14th year.

This year's line up boasts Gruff Rhys, Bellowhead, Graham Coxon, Saint Etienne, Philip Selway and Edwyn Collins.

The Saturday will also include a Blessing Force stage, featuring a selection of artists from the Oxford-based musical movement.
