Charges over hit-and-run in Oxford

A man has been charged over a hit-and-run in Oxford in 2008.

The 33-year-old, from Waltham Forest, East London, is charged with wounding with intent and causing bodily harm with wanton furious driving.

The charges relate to an incident on 9 October 2008 when a man in his 20s was struck by a car in Cuddeston Way, in the Blackbird Leys area of the city.

Thames Valley Police said the man had been remanded in custody to appear before Oxford Magistrates' Court.
