Driver killed in Bicester railway bridge crash

A 26-year-old driver was killed when his car crashed into a railway bridge in an Oxfordshire town.

The man was travelling in a Vauxhall Astra which struck a railway bridge on Bucknell Road, in Bicester, at about 0700 GMT on Saturday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, said a police spokesman.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed the crash, or saw the vehicle before it, to contact them.
