Chadlington burglars snatch pensioner's rings

An 80-year-old woman has had two antique rings stolen from her hands during a burglary in the village of Chadlington, near Chipping Norton.

Two or three men forced their way into her house after she answered the door to them on Saturday evening some time between 1900 and 1915 GMT.

The men also took the woman's handbag, containing cash, credit cards and a cheque book.

The only description given was that the men are white.

Det Sgt Howard Berry, of Witney CID, said: "This was a very distressing experience for the victim and we are very keen to catch those responsible."
