Teenager with knife robs Oxfordshire pet store

A teenager threatened a worker with a knife at a pet shop in Oxfordshire before fleeing with money.

The boy walked into Alisons Animals in Oxford Road, near a Sainsbury's store, in Kidlington at about 1145 BST.

He pulled out a knife and demanded money from an employee before fleeing on foot with a small amount of cash.

The boy is described as white, about 5ft 6ins, of medium build and he was wearing a purple hooded top and had a scarf covering his face.

Det Con Mike West said: "We currently have officers at the scene and are conducting a search of the area to locate the suspect.

"I appeal to anyone who saw a teenager running from the shops towards Sainsbury's to contact police immediately."
