Seven people were treated in hospital after a mass brawl "possibly involving a knife" at a house in Nottinghamshire.

The fight happened at a property in the Paddocks in Nuthall on Thursday night.

While two of the injuries were described by Nottinghamshire Police as serious, none are thought to be life-threatening.

Five men, aged between 21 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remain in custody.

BBC reporter Giles Taylor said there was a "significant police presence" and large cordon at the scene.

He added the property, which had a window smashed and a broken door, is frequently used as an Airbnb let.

The owner has not responded to BBC inquiries.

Nottinghamshire Police said it believes all the people involved are "known to each other".

A spokesman said a car had been recovered from the scene and there were a number of lines of inquiry being investigated.

He added that patrols have been stepped up in the local area to provide reassurance.
