Nottingham street stabbing suspect, 72, charged

A 72-year-old man arrested over a stabbing outside a city pub on a busy street has been charged by police.

The attack happened outside the Old Dog and Partridge Pub on Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham at 16:10 BST on Saturday.

A 38-year-old man was injured and is reportedly in a stable condition. A 24-year-old woman was also kicked.

The man was charged with wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and affray.

He was also charged with assault by beating and is due to appear before magistrates on Monday.
