Nottingham boy, 5, injured by police car

A five-year-old boy was injured when he was hit by a police car in a street in Nottingham.

Queens Bower Road, Bestwood, was closed following the incident at lunchtime on Sunday.

The child was taken to the Queens Medical Centre, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokeswoman said the force's vehicle was not travelling at speed or responding to an emergency.
