Nottingham stabbings: Three held after two attacked

Three people, including a 14-year-old boy, have been arrested after two people were stabbed in the street.

The victims were attacked at about 19:00 BST on Monday in North Sherwood Street, Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police said two males, aged 15 and 18, were in hospital in a stable condition.

The 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray and two 18-year-old men were held on suspicion of violent disorder. All three remain in custody.

A resident who has lived in the area for 25 years said: "I'm surprised, because normally this area's OK, there's no trouble here. I've never seen nothing like this."

Det Insp Kaz Smithson said: "Investigations into this offence are on-going but the incident is being treated as an isolated incident following a dispute between two individuals.

Officers appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
