Police are investigating three car fires which led to road closures across Nottingham.

A Ford Puma and an Alfa Romeo were set alight in Valley Road, Sherwood, at about 20:45 GMT on Sunday.

No-one was injured and police said it was believed to be an "isolated incident".

Another vehicle blaze in Porchester Road, Thorneywood, at about 20:30 GMT is thought to have been caused by a mechanical fault.

Porchester Road's partial closure led to heavy traffic on Monday morning. Diversions were lifted after 14:00 GMT.
