Nottinghamshire manufacturer Payne celebrates centenary

A Nottinghamshire manufacturer specialising in pressure sensitive tear tape, used to help open food products, has celebrated its 100th birthday.

The firm based at Giltbrook produces enough tape in a year to go around the world's circumference 700 times.

The company designs its own products on site and has won a Queen's Award for innovation and international trade.

It has a turnover of £50m a year and exports 95% of what it makes.
