Cash stolen in raid on Nottinghamshire pub

A gang of masked robbers have raided a Nottinghamshire pub and stolen a quantity of cash, handbags and mobile phones.

Three men, one carrying an iron bar, entered The Wheatsheaf pub in Long Acre, Bingham, in the early hours of Monday.

It is thought a fourth man was involved, but he did not enter the pub.

They escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, handbags and mobile phones, police said.

Four people were in the pub at the time of incident.

A 34-year-old man sustained a facial injury that required treatment at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
