Police investigating the shooting of a man in Nottingham on Boxing Day have arrested two more men.

Damien Meredith, 24, was hit in the head and leg when shots were fired in Westville Gardens, St Ann's.

A 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday evening and a 22-year-old arrested on Friday was bailed after being questioned.

Five men arrested previously were bailed. No one has yet been charged.

Police said Mr Meredith, who had a bullet removed from his brain, apparently fled a party after an argument.

He is still in a serious condition in hospital.

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
